The challenge was clear: the absence of a dedicated online marketplace for enthusiasts to buy and sell new and used equestrian products. In mature market within the UK, Take My Tack sought to provide a seamless platform, answering the pressing questions of where to sell second-hand tack and where to purchase horse tack products and accessories.

Within the Equestrian industry consisting of around 27 million enthusiasts, there was a noticeable gap - the absence of a dedicated online marketplace for buying and selling equestrian products. Take My Tack identified the need to address this gap, focusing on providing a platform for users to seamlessly trade new and used equestrian products and accessories. The key challenge was to answer the following questions: Where can I sell my second-hand tack? Where can I buy horse tack products and accessories?
The Solution
Take My Tack partnered with Ficode to develop a highly interactive and user-friendly mobile application for both Android and iOS platforms. The collaboration aimed to connect the Equestrian community and industry through an innovative product. The solution offered a simple onboarding process for sellers, allowing them to easily upload products. Buyers could add products to their wishlist or cart, making the purchasing process convenient. The application also featured a cancellation and return mechanism based on Take My Tack policies, with customer support chat functionality to address queries and issues.
