4Work effectively assigns and manages jobs to service engineers to be delivered to the end customers with the option to take their feedback, all on the real-time basis.

Project Overview

4Work aims to fill the gap that comes due to real-time communication between business managers and service engineers as well as managers and the end customers when a job is initiated and an expert is called. The task is accomplished through a software tool by the same name. Developed as a mobile application, it empowers the customers.

Client Needs

Client wanted to design cloud-based, purpose-built, all-in-one software that allows field service businesses to manage their operations from any location. Some of the key expectations from the software tool were to:

  • Have one space to manage all the key aspects of the business.
  • Tracking feature.
  • Manage engineers.
  • Efficient job delegation and management.
  • Generate invoices.

Ficode Delievery

The task was simple in first appearance but had layers in designing. Since much of the work took place in real-time, the app should be of zero-error grade. So as per the client needs, we included the following:

  • We created a single admin portal where managers, service engineers and customers can interact at one place, while at the same time jobs could be initiated, allocated, tracked and marked completed.
  • Engineer could be tracked on real-time basis, based on his current location and status of job. Offline Mode functionality and sync with server when there is GPS connection for all message and job status
  • Management of engineer and Supervisor is easily achieved though live chat feature. Admin and service engineer can chat all what they want and stay updated on job status.
  • Drag and drop feature is included to assign jobs to engineers and thus easily manage the both.
  • Invoices are generated online as soon as the task is complete without any hassle.Invoices can be paid partially or fully by customer.These invoices are sent to customer by email in PDF format.

What about the delivery made the client happiest

The progress of the job could be notified as it went. Also, customer feedback could be recorded without any mixing of facts. The cloud software was completed in record time and approved as soon as showcased!
